Road Roller

Road Roller

The road roller is a key component of any heavy-duty construction project, from highway construction to more mundane tasks like finishing surfaces of buildings. By using the most modern engineering techniques to provide maximum density and smoothness in the asphalt and soil, the road roller is capable of allowing contractors to build long-lasting surfaces. Road rollers come in a variety of configurations, including single-drum, double-drum and pneumatic tire configurations, making them ideal for a wide range of construction projects, from highway construction to urban roadways. The road roller was designed for durability and efficient operation. The robust chassis and cutting-edge compaction technology of our road roller provide the contractor with a combination of strength, ease of operation and productivity, while reducing the adverse effects of compaction on the environment. Combined with our easy-to-use smart vibration system and operator controls and our eco-friendly design.

Advantages of Road Roller

Advanced Compaction Technology

The vibration control roller technology has the latest advanced equipment that uses a combination of Variable Amplitude Control and Variable Frequency Control to provide customers with the ability to set their vibration for each individual type of material used, allowing users to achieve a uniform material density without the risk of over-compacting the material. Therefore, users will produce a smoother, longer-lasting road finish, as well as producing better compacted material in fewer passes.

Operator-Focused Design

The Vibration Control Roller is designed for ease of operation and operator comfort, as it is equipped with an operator cab that offers climate control, low noise levels, and a 360-degree view. The operator cab has ergonomically designed controls that are simple and easy to understand, combined with the dampening of vibrations through the use of a vibration-dampened operator platform; these factors greatly reduce operator fatigue and allow an operator to operate longer, be more productive, and retain the same level of performance and safety as is expected in the industry.

Eco-Efficient Performance

The Tier 4 compliant engines that power the vibration control roller are powered by an intelligent energy management system that reduces fuel usage and therefore, emissions, by up to 20%. The maximizes the overall efficiency of the roller while providing environmental and cost-saving benefits by automatically controlling the hydraulic output relative to the loads being placed upon the vibration control roller.

Road Roller

The new Roller from TEAM is a state-of-the-art design that provides the best combination of rugged construction and intelligent operation for any job site where compaction is needed. We use heavy steel for our drum and steel reinforced wear resistant materials; this combination gives our customers longevity and consistent compaction force, even under the most abrasive conditions. Our Vibration Technology is another component of our Roller that has been developed for the professional user; it uses an advanced system to continuously adjust the length and amplitude of the vibration to meet the density of the material being compacted, giving all applications the same, consistent result, whether it is asphalt paving or sub-grade preparation.

Additionally, ultimate safety and precision were designed into our Roller through the certification of OECD (ROPS/FOPS) and the ability of the Operator to operate the Roller accurately in tight, urban conditions. With the addition of a Grade Control Option, you will be able to achieve more precision in slope formation and asphalt paving operations.

We have designed the Road Roller to have maximum durability; we use the highest quality materials, including corrosion resistant components and sealed bearings, to create a Roller that will outlast and outperform any other. Our centralised lubrication system provides the user with ease of access to service locations, improves the amount of time the Roller has to work, and maximises the lifespan of the Roller.

Additionally, we developed the option for telematics for Contractors to use to manage their projects using the data collected and to manage their telematics based project management to ensure they meet both the strictest project specifications and the productivity and efficiency of their fleet.

Road Roller

What is the difference between single and double drum rollers?

Single drum road rollers will provide you with the best options for compacting soil and base layers whereas double drum road rollers will give you the best finish for asphalt surfaces due to their even pressure distribution when they compact the asphalt surface.
It is recommended that after each use, the drum be thoroughly cleaned and additionally lubricated every 50 operational hours. Full Inspection of each drum should occur every 250 operational hours for maximum efficiency of the road roller.
Yes, the road roller has a design to operate in a temperature range of -20°C - 50°C and an optional package for operation in hot/cold weather conditions.
